Welcome!
Welcome to the 2nd grade. I am grateful for the privilege in assisting your child to become the best version of themself! I have been in education for more than 25 years. I have been employed here at Holy Angels School since 2016. I am a native Californian and have been a teacher in California, Texas and France. I have 2 grown children that live in Texas. I have traveled throughout the world and enjoy sharing stories of my travels with my students.
Education and Professional Background
I earned my B.A. in Child Development from California State University at Los Angeles.
In Texas, I earned my Multiple Subjects Credential and a Master of Elementary Education from Texas State University at San Marcos. I am certified as a Blended Learning Google instructor through Loyola Marymount University.
Educational Philosophy
First and foremost, it is my goal to facilitate a warm nurturing and safe environment for your child. Once this is established, then together we can work to build on your student's strengths while improving upon other areas, whether they be academic or social. In the second grade, we receive 2 sacraments and I am committed to bringing students closer to God through their religious instruction. I will utilize various modes of instruction so that I may respond properly to the different learning styles of my students. I hope to be a partner with all parents as we work together to ensure the success of your student.
