Welcome
My name is Mrs. Tobi Cuento, and I would like to welcome you and your child to the 5th grade. I have strong ties to Holy Angels and have been a parishioner here since moving to the area in 2010. My husband and son are both Holy Angels alumni, and my daughter is current a HAS student. I look forward to another great year teaching the wonderful students of our school.
Education and Professional Background
After obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Loyola Marymount University, I earned my teaching credential from the Teacher Certification Unit at the Los Angeles Unified School District, and have been an elementary school teacher since 1998. Prior to joining the staff at Holy Angels, I worked as a teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District and for Chicago Public Schools. While living in Chicago, I earned a Master of Education and a General Administrative Endorsement Certificate from Lewis University. I began teaching at Holy Angels in 2020.
My Educational Philosophy
I strive to create an environment where children can grow mentally, emotionally, and academically. While I have high expectations of my students, I am confident that with dedication and hard work, they will rise to the occasion and be well prepared for their middle school years. My desire is to provide a 5th grade year filled with tremendous learning, but also with experiences that will be remembered fondly for years to come.
